Charles Oliveira’s next opponent remains unbooked as of late August 2026 after he withdrew from a scheduled UFC 331 rematch with Arman Tsarukyan due to the death of teammate Allan Nascimento. The Brazilian BMF champion, fresh off a March decision win over Max Holloway, has publicly rejected title-eliminator bouts against Tsarukyan or Paddy Pimblett and instead positioned himself for an undisputed lightweight title rematch with Justin Gaethje, stating he is willing to wait into 2027 if needed. This uncertainty among top-ranked lightweights, combined with Oliveira’s preference for high-profile matchups and the lightweight division’s fluid rankings, has kept implied probabilities tightly bunched, with no single contender emerging as a clear frontrunner in trader consensus.
