Recent momentum stems from Puerto Rico's April 28 group opener against Brazil, finalized squads on April 13 showing full health, and overall team strength in the event where Puerto Rico secured a 3-1 win over Uzbekistan in recent play. While table tennis upsets via superior spin or adaptation occur, potential shifters include late injury retirement (resolves to advancer), disqualification, or walkover (50-50 resolution per market rules).
