Shinozuka, the higher-ranked Japanese left-hander, has posted strong results across the 2026 WTT calendar, including a decisive upset over Hugo Calderano and victories over Wen Ruibo and Liam Pitchford at the United States Smash. Sidorenko, competing as AIN, has similarly surged with straight-sets wins over Benedikt Duda and earlier scalps such as Darko Jorgic, demonstrating improved consistency and point-winning aggression on the professional tour. Limited historical head-to-head data and both players' solid recent form in high-level events create the current balance, with outcomes likely hinging on execution in extended rallies, serve-receive efficiency, and any late adjustments to playing style or fitness.
