The Japanese veteran's experience—peaking at world No. 15—contrasts Sidorenko's rising form as No. 43-ranked seed No. 3 and recent Istanbul Feeder champion, who also cruised 3-0 past qualifier Laurens Devos yesterday. While no injuries reported, potential shifts include Sidorenko's power forehand overwhelming in a best-of-seven or a late withdrawal, as table tennis quarterfinals often see momentum swings.
