Mercedes' overwhelming market dominance for the constructor fastest lap at the Canadian Grand Prix stems from the team's front-row lockout in qualifying, where George Russell and Kimi Antonelli posted the two quickest times on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve layout. The 2026 Mercedes package has delivered superior single-lap pace and strong long-run form throughout the season, building on the team's historical strength at this track. Traders see minimal scope for rivals to match that outright speed under race conditions. Even with the heavy favorite, a late safety car, aggressive tire strategy from another constructor, or an unexpected mechanical setback could still open a narrow window for an alternative outcome.

If the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after May 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the constructor team whose driver is officially credited with the fastest lap in the Final Classification published by the FIA following the conclusion of the race. The fastest lap must be set during the race itself; times from practice sessions, qualifying, or any other sessions are not considered.
If no driver completes a lap during the race (e.g., due to a red flag ending the race prematurely), this market will resolve to "Other."
The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
