Haruka Kaji holds a clear ranking advantage over Ya Yi Yang in this ITF W100 Wuning hard-court encounter, with the Japanese player sitting near WTA No. 291 while Yang ranks outside the top 500. Kaji enters with an 18-13 record in 2026 and recent experience on the WTA-level Jiangxi Open hard courts, where she secured one victory before a second-round exit. Yang, a Taiwanese player, has shown form in the Wuning qualifying rounds but carries a lower ITF ranking near 2,127 and limited success against higher-ranked opponents on the surface. Their head-to-head favors Yang from a 2023 meeting, yet Kaji’s superior recent consistency and experience in main-draw ITF events shape the primary context for this round-of-32 matchup.
