Jonghoon Lim enters this WTT men's singles matchup as the clear favorite, reflecting his stronger recent form and deeper experience against European opposition. The South Korean left-hander, a multiple Asian champion with Olympic mixed-doubles bronze and consistent WTT quarterfinal appearances, holds a 3-1 head-to-head edge over Groth from their 2024 team worlds clash. Groth, ranked slightly higher on the ITTF list, has shown flashes in European events but struggles against top Asian players, including straight-sets losses to world No. 1 contenders in recent WTT stops. Lim's superior consistency, spin variation, and proven ability to close out tight games underpin trader consensus on his high implied probability in this encounter.
