Sixth seed Mirra Andreeva, ranked No. 9, rides momentum into her second-round Porsche Tennis Grand Prix matchup against No. 95 Alycia Parks after overturning a 4-1 third-set deficit to dethrone defending champion Jelena Ostapenko 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 yesterday on indoor clay. Andreeva holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge, winning their 2025 US Open first-round clash, bolstered by her recent Linz WTA 500 title and 18-6 record this year. Parks, a qualifier who defeated Noma Noha Akugue in the opener, posts a 13-11 2026 mark with 4-2 on clay but faces a stylistic test against Andreeva's baseline consistency and top-10 form. No injury concerns reported; match set for early April 16.
