This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the San Francisco International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 29 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksfo This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus points to a low in the mid-50s°F for San Francisco on August 29, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading bins (56-57°F at 41.5%, 58-59°F at 30.0%, and 54-55°F at 27.5%).** Multiple sources, including NWS, WeatherBug, and US Harbors, project overnight lows of 55–57°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies with moderate west winds of 10–20 mph. These conditions reflect the typical late-summer marine layer and onshore flow that moderates temperatures along the immediate coast. Seasonal normals support this range: the 1991–2020 average low for August 29 is 56°F, with recent August nights in the city running 56–58°F. No significant warming or cooling anomalies are indicated in current model guidance; a weak trough has kept temperatures near or slightly below average without introducing unusual moisture or wind patterns that would shift the minimum substantially. Trader sentiment clusters tightly around the 54–59°F outcomes because short-range forecasts show high consistency, with the exact low hinging on how much radiational cooling occurs under any partial clearing overnight. Higher bins (60°F+) carry low implied odds consistent with the absence of offshore flow or ridging, while colder extremes remain unlikely given the persistent marine influence. Updated NWS guidance or late-day model runs could refine the precise minimum before the calendar day ends.
