The Amazonas Senate race for the two seats up on October 4 remains fragmented, with voters selecting a pair of candidates and multiple contenders holding realistic paths to second place. Former governor Wilson Lima’s April resignation to run, alongside reelection bids by incumbents Eduardo Braga and Plínio Valério, has expanded the field that also includes Capitão Alberto Neto, Xuxa do Amazonas, Dailson Corrêa and several lower-profile names. The absence of decisive recent polling or major endorsements has kept implied probabilities clustered near even money, reflecting trader views that no single challenger has consolidated support behind the leading vote-getter. Further separation will likely hinge on late-campaign momentum, turnout patterns in key municipalities, and any alliances formed before registration closes.
