In the decisive second-round qualifying match at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on red clay, No. 107 Matteo Arnaldi meets No. 94 Alexandre Muller, with their head-to-head tied 1-1 on the surface—Arnaldi's straight-sets win at 2024 Roland Garros offsetting Muller's Umag victory. Muller enters with stronger recent clay momentum, reaching the Marrakech ATP 250 quarterfinals last week before a straight-sets qualifying win over Jan Choinski yesterday, while Arnaldi staged a comeback against seeded Vit Kopriva (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) after a winless 2026 hard-court swing (0-3 YTD). No injuries reported; Muller's higher ranking and proximity to France edge trader sentiment in this closely contested baseline battle.
