Francisco Cerundolo's substantial edge in ATP rankings—19th versus Thiago Agustin Tirante's 97th—anchors the 74.5% implied probability favoring the higher seed in their Miami Open first-round clash on hard courts. Cerundolo enters with momentum from a quarterfinal run at Indian Wells, showcasing a potent serve and baseline consistency suited to the surface, while holding a perfect 2-0 head-to-head record over Tirante on clay. Tirante, a lucky loser who advanced through qualifiers, lacks deep Masters-level experience and has limited hard-court success against top-20 foes. No reported injuries alter the matchup, leaving trader consensus reflective of Cerundolo's experience and form as key drivers amid the wisdom of crowds pricing.
