Cristian Garin's superior experience and hard-court pedigree anchor trader consensus favoring him over qualifier Liam Draxl in this Miami Open qualifying clash, with Garin's career-high ranking and ATP-level wins contrasting Draxl's recent transition from college tennis. Garin, ranked No. 97, enters off a quarterfinal run at the Phoenix Challenger, showing improved serve hold percentages on outdoor hard courts (85% last six months), while world No. 208 Draxl rides momentum from an NCAA title but lacks deep pro draw experience. No head-to-head exists; key watch is Garin's first-serve efficiency against Draxl's aggressive returns. Momentum favors the veteran absent injury updates, though upsets loom in qualifiers amid variable Miami conditions.
