Recent forecasts indicate persistent moisture and thunderstorm activity over Shenzhen on September 13, with models showing easterly flow advecting humid air and widespread cloud cover that limits daytime heating. This setup favors peak temperatures near 30–31 °C, aligning with the market’s closest outcomes at 28.5 % for 31 °C and 23 % for 30 °C. Historical September climatology places average highs around 31–32 °C, but the current pattern of moderate rain and reduced insolation introduces downward pressure on extremes. Model spread remains modest, though small shifts in storm timing or intensity could still allow brief clearing and a 32 °C reading. Traders appear to weigh these near-term dynamics heavily against longer-term seasonal baselines.
