Recent heavy rainfall and persistent cloud cover across the Tokyo region have suppressed daytime heating, with highs on September 21–23 limited to the mid-20s °C amid widespread showers. Forecasts for the 24th indicate mostly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon showers and lighter northeasterly flow, limiting insolation and keeping maximum temperatures clustered near 26–28°C. Model consensus from official sources shows limited spread around these values due to uncertainty in exact cloud timing and any brief clearing. This scientific context explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds across 26–30°C outcomes, as traders weigh the balance between residual moisture and gradual stabilization ahead of final data releases.
