**Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston indicate an overnight low near 79–81°F on September 24, with most model guidance converging on upper 70s to low 80s amid light northeast winds and high dew points.** Persistent subtropical ridging and a weak backdoor frontal boundary have limited radiational cooling while keeping humidity elevated, preventing temperatures from dropping further. Recent observations show daily lows in the upper 70s to low 80s under similar patterns, supporting the market’s leading 78–79°F outcome at 47% implied probability. Clear to partly cloudy skies and minimal precipitation risk through the period reinforce this range, though any unexpected increase in cloud cover or wind could nudge readings slightly higher. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the overnight period remain the key near-term catalysts.
