Official National Weather Service climatological reports for September 3, 2026, recorded minimum temperatures of 65°F downtown Los Angeles and 67°F at Los Angeles International Airport, aligning closely with the market's dominant 66-67°F outcome. These values reflect typical early-September conditions under a persistent marine layer that moderates overnight radiative cooling near the coast, matching long-term normals of 64-65°F. Model guidance and surface observations prior to the date showed limited deviation from seasonal baselines, supporting trader consensus on this narrow range. A data revision from primary stations or use of an alternate measurement site could shift resolution, though such adjustments remain uncommon for verified NWS summaries.
