The Pirates (7-5), sitting third in the NL Central after a loss to San Diego, placed INF Jared Triolo on the 10-day IL yesterday with a right knee patellar tendon injury, thinning infield depth amid early-season roster adjustments. Cubs (6-6), buoyed by a recent win over Tampa Bay, hold home-field edge in a tight division race, with historical head-to-head trends slightly favoring Chicago in recent matchups. Trader consensus weighs these pitching, injury, and weather factors in a competitive early-season NL Central clash.
