Vilius Gaubas holds a slim 53% implied probability edge in his Alicante Challenger quarterfinal clash with Roberto Carballes Baena, driven primarily by the Lithuanian's red-hot form, including straight-sets upsets over higher-ranked foes on clay this week. Carballes Baena, a clay-court veteran with strong home-soil support in Spain, counters with superior experience and head-to-head surface stats, creating the tight balance—no prior meetings and both dropping sets earlier. Momentum favors Gaubas, but a fast start by the Spaniard or crowd surge could flip trader consensus, as upsets thrive in Challenger volatility.
