Jiri Lehecka, riding a career-high No. 13 ATP ranking after reaching the Miami Masters final last week—crushing Arthur Fils en route—enters this Rolex Monte Carlo Masters first-round clay-court clash as the consensus trader favorite against qualifier Emilio Nava (No. 103). Lehecka's 11-6 record this season showcases surging form and baseline power, though his career clay win rate sits at 50%, untested in 2026. Nava scraped through qualifying with a deciding-set tiebreaker but holds a modest 1-4 ATP mark YTD and limited Masters experience. Their first head-to-head favors Lehecka's higher seeding and momentum on the slow Monte Carlo surface, where endurance and topspin could decide it, barring any late withdrawals or weather delays.
