Arthur Fery holds a significant ranking edge at No. 166 over Max Hans Rehberg's No. 729 in their first-round qualifying clash at the BMW Open on outdoor clay in Munich, reflecting trader consensus on Fery's stronger recent form. Fery reached the second round at the Australian Open main draw after upsetting No. 20 Flavio Cobolli, then posted a clay win over Vasek Sachko at the Monza Challenger last week before a quarterfinal exit, showcasing solid transition to the surface. Rehberg, a local German wild card with a career-high of No. 230 last year, has limited ATP-level results this season amid a rankings slide, though home-court familiarity and crowd support could aid an upset. No injuries reported; weather in Munich may influence play.
