Third-seeded Fajing Sun enters as the clear home favorite against qualifier Khumoyun Sultanov in the ATP Challenger Wuning 2 round of 16 on indoor hard courts, buoyed by his higher ranking (No. 244 vs. No. 871) and strong Challenger experience. Both advanced convincingly yesterday, with Sun dominating lucky loser Tai Sach 6-2, 6-1 and Sultanov edging wildcard Aoran Wang 6-3, 7-6(4), showcasing solid serving and baseline play. No prior head-to-head exists, but Sun's career-high No. 198 peak and local support contrast Sultanov's momentum from qualifiers and an 9-4 hard-court record in 2026 at lower levels. Key factors include Sun's superior return game and endurance in best-of-three sets, though Sultanov's aggressive style poses upset potential absent any reported injuries.
