A tight contest between the National-led and Labour-led blocs in New Zealand's November 7, 2026 general election underpins trader expectations for turnout clustered around 76-82%. Recent polling averages show the parties nearly deadlocked, a dynamic that has historically lifted participation compared with lopsided races. Offsetting pressures include youth enrolment at just 53% for ages 18-24, its lowest level in 15 years, alongside targeted registration drives such as the rangatahi-led "On A Roll" campaign ahead of the October 25 deadline. Recent electoral amendments tightening enrolment timing and restricting certain activities near polling places add procedural uncertainty. Advance voting begins October 26, and the wisdom of crowds reflected in current pricing balances these factors without strong separation toward any single band.

If the results of this election are not definitively known by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official election results reported by the New Zealand Electoral Commission (https://elections.nz/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used if official results are not available.
