Troy Balderson's incumbency in the Republican-leaning OH-12 district, redrawn in late 2025 with a strong R+15 partisan index, anchors trader consensus at 93.5% for the Republican nominee ahead of the November 2026 general election. Primary results confirmed Balderson's renomination alongside Democrat Jerrad Christian, with no competitive polling or fundraising data indicating a shift. Historical patterns of incumbent reelection rates above 90% in comparable districts and limited Democratic targeting further reinforce the positioning. Potential challenges remain narrow and would require a sizable national midterm swing, late scandals, or unexpected turnout surges to narrow the gap meaningfully before Election Day.
