Incumbent Republican Troy Balderson faces Democrat Jerrad Christian in the November 2026 general election for Ohio's 12th congressional district after both advanced from their May 5 primaries, with Balderson running unopposed. Multiple nonpartisan rating firms classify the race as solid or safe Republican based on the district's established partisan lean, consistent with prior election margins exceeding 30 points for the GOP. No major shifts in candidate field, fundraising, or local developments have altered this positioning in recent weeks, leaving the outcome aligned with the seat's structural advantages for the Republican nominee.
