Microsoft's stock, trading near $500 as of early September 2026 after a late-August peak above $510, reflects strong fiscal Q4 results from July with Azure revenue surging 43% year-over-year to $29.4 billion and commercial remaining performance obligations jumping 84% to $678 billion. The company's shift to two reporting segments—Agents and Infra, plus Devices and Consumer—aims to highlight AI-driven cloud momentum, supporting analyst upgrades such as BofA's $600 target and Stifel's $530, against a consensus near $570. Traders weigh accelerating AI adoption in Microsoft 365 Copilot against elevated capital expenditures exceeding $40 billion quarterly and potential margin compression, with the next earnings due in late October providing the next major catalyst for price levels during the week of September 7.
