The Pentagon’s February 2026 designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk, triggered by the company’s refusal to waive Claude safeguards against mass domestic surveillance and lethal autonomous weapons, remains the central driver of trader sentiment. A March 26 federal court injunction temporarily blocked enforcement and removed the immediate stigma, but the Pentagon’s April appeal to the Ninth Circuit keeps legal uncertainty high. Traders are watching for any settlement talks, further court rulings, or policy shifts under the current administration that could lift the label entirely. Competitive dynamics with OpenAI, which secured expanded Pentagon access amid the dispute, add pressure on Anthropic’s government contracting prospects and broader AI ecosystem positioning.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the designation is officially rescinded, withdrawn, or nullified by a competent authority by the specified date (ET). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
The designation may be removed through executive reversal, agency reversal, or a final court ruling.
Executive actions or guidance that merely bypass the designation, allowing U.S. agencies to continue using Anthropic’s AI despite the supply chain risk label, will not qualify.
Court rulings that strike down or invalidate the designation as unlawful will qualify. Court orders that only temporarily block, stay, or enjoin the designation will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.
