SpaceX’s June 2026 IPO at a $1.77 trillion valuation, with shares quickly pushing the market cap above $2 trillion on Nasdaq under ticker SPCX, anchors the 56.5% trader consensus that its listing will exceed OpenAI’s eventual IPO capitalization. OpenAI’s confidential June filing and $852 billion private valuation have been overshadowed by its decision to delay the debut into 2027, driven by Sam Altman’s $1 trillion target and caution after SpaceX’s post-IPO swings. This timeline gap, combined with SpaceX’s established revenue from Starlink and AI infrastructure, gives traders greater visibility into its realized scale versus OpenAI’s still-private trajectory and competitive AI funding needs. Upcoming catalysts include any OpenAI tender updates or 2027 filing signals that could narrow the gap.

In the event of an interruption in the course of the normal trading session on the respective companies’ first day of trading (e.g., a circuit breaker or half-day), the market will resolve according to the official closing price of the abbreviated session. If no such official closing price is published, the market will resolve according to the next trading day on which an official closing price is published, treating that as the first day of trading.
