Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus for Atlanta points to a sunny, dry pattern on September 2 under building high pressure, with daytime highs forecast in the mid- to upper 90s amid light northerly winds shifting easterly and minimal cloud cover. This setup favors strong solar heating and aligns with the market's heaviest trading on 96–99 °F outcomes. Above-normal late-summer warmth and near-record early-September climatology further support these levels, while slight model spread in afternoon mixing and boundary-layer moisture keeps lower-90s and 100 °F possibilities priced as tail risks. Updated guidance through Labor Day weekend will refine the exact peak.
