**Current National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance point to an overnight low in the mid-70s for Atlanta on September 2, 2026, driving the strong 87% market-implied probability on 76-77°F.** Persistent high pressure and above-normal warmth have produced daytime highs near 96–97°F with heat indices exceeding 100°F, accompanied by elevated dew points near 70°F and light winds. These conditions limit radiational cooling under mostly clear skies, keeping minimum temperatures well above the early-September climatological average of ~69°F. Official guidance from the NWS consistently shows a low around 75–76°F, with limited spread across models and no incoming fronts or increased cloud cover to alter the outcome before midnight. Traders have aligned with this consensus, as the probability of dipping into the low 70s or below remains low absent unexpected changes in humidity or wind patterns.
