Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models project Atlanta’s minimum temperature on September 3 near 74–75 °F under mostly clear skies and light southeast winds following daytime highs of 95–97 °F. Persistent warm, humid air with dew points near 70 °F limits radiative cooling overnight, while the absence of significant cloud cover or stronger mixing favors modest overnight drops into the lower 70s. Historical averages for the date sit around 69 °F, but the current heat dome keeps readings elevated. Minor model differences in boundary-layer mixing or residual moisture could nudge the exact low by 1–2 °F, creating tight market clustering around the 74–77 °F bins.
