**Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 21 project a high near 95°F under mostly sunny skies with only a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance and light southeast winds.** This aligns with the market's strong 60.5% implied probability on 94-95°F, as recent model runs and agency guidance show stable high pressure maintaining above-average warmth (historical September 21 mean high ~88°F). Persistent late-summer humidity and minimal cloud cover support mid-90s readings, with heat indices near 102°F, while limited rain risk and consistent steering patterns reduce upside potential for 96°F+ (18.5% odds). Traders appear anchored to these near-term NWS and ensemble outputs ahead of the day's resolution.
