Mercedes' George Russell and Kimi Antonelli dominate trader consensus for the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship, reflecting their 1-2 finish in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix—where Russell won from pole—and Antonelli's subsequent back-to-back victories, propelling him to the top of the standings with 72 points to Russell's 63 after six rounds. The superior Mercedes W17 package under new active aerodynamics and power unit regulations has created a tight intra-team battle, with Antonelli's perfect 100% win rate from pole and average finish of 1.33 underscoring his rookie poise, though Russell's experience edges implied probabilities amid Helmut Marko's recent prediction of Mercedes' title triumph decided internally. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc trails at 49 points, hampered by upgrades lagging behind, while others like Verstappen face constructor struggles.
