Glinka advanced with a straight-sets 6-2, 7-6(3) first-round win, preserving energy, while Blanch grinded out a three-set 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory, demonstrating resilience. The 25-year-old Estonian lefty's one-handed backhand and higher ranking provide edges in baseline rallies, but 18-year-old American Blanch's powerful two-handed game, recent momentum, and home-crowd support in Florida could fuel an upset. No injuries reported; mild spring weather favors extended points.
