The Cusco provincial mayoral race for the October 4, 2026, municipal elections features a crowded field with no dominant frontrunner, as reflected in trader consensus favoring Albert Aníbal Arenas Yabar at 36.5% while William Peña Farfán sits at 19.5% and the remaining candidates trail further. High undecided voter shares near 50% in recent surveys, combined with regional party fragmentation and limited polling differentiation, sustain tight implied probabilities. Arenas draws on prior district-level executive experience, Peña Farfán emphasizes campaign visibility through caravans, and others compete on local platforms without clear separation in voter preference data. Upcoming debates, candidate registration finalization, and any shifts in undecided blocs could widen gaps ahead of election day.
