Official forecasts from the National Weather Service place Miami’s Monday high near 89°F amid persistent tropical moisture and a 50-90% chance of afternoon thunderstorms, which typically cap peaks through evaporative cooling and cloud cover. Recent model runs show limited steering influence from any nearby systems, allowing sea-breeze convergence and high humidity to keep readings close to the early-September climatological average of 89-90°F. The market’s emphasis on 90-91°F (44%) versus 88-89°F (27.5%) reflects trader assessment that brief clearing or slightly stronger insolation could nudge the daily maximum into the low 90s before convection develops, while the modest probability on 92°F+ outcomes accounts for the historical rarity of such warmth once widespread storms initiate. Updated NWS guidance and short-range model trends through the weekend remain the key near-term catalysts.
