Recent polling from July 2026 shows a fragmented field for Rio Grande do Norte’s two Senate seats, with incumbent Styvenson Valentim (Podemos) holding a narrow lead and several challengers—including Samanda Alves (PT), Coronel Hélio (PL), and Rafael Motta (PDT)—within the margin of error for the remaining spots. This closeness, combined with Zenaide Maia’s (PSD) established incumbency and multiple additional pre-candidates such as Tércio Tinoco and Luciana Mandu, keeps second-place positioning highly uncertain ahead of the official campaign start on August 16. Voter intentions remain fluid across opposition and government-aligned blocs, with no dominant consolidation yet evident in surveys. Trader consensus therefore reflects the potential for late shifts from alliances, turnout patterns, or further polling releases before the October vote.
