In the Madrid Challenger semi-final on clay, Nicolas Jarry (No. 156) faces Jurij Rodionov (No. 176), with trader consensus reflecting Jarry's clay-court pedigree and recent tournament surge driving favoritism. The 30-year-old Chilean, rebounding from a winless early 2026 stretch, powered through straight-set wins including 6-2, 7-6 over Dominic Stricker in the quarters, leveraging his 201cm frame and booming serve (78% first-serve points won prior rounds). Rodionov impressed with a three-set quarter-final grind past Federico Cina, building on 7-3 form over his last 10 matches, though less proven on clay. Jarry leads head-to-head 1-0 (2019 Challenger); no injuries reported, but outdoor conditions could amplify serve dominance.
