Martin Damm enters as the seeded No. 2 and ranking favorite at No. 126 ATP against No. 341 Alex Rybakov in the Sarasota Challenger first round on green clay, buoyed by his recent ATP 250 main draw run in Houston where he fell to Brandon Nakashima, showcasing strong 2026 form at 11-9 overall. Rybakov, coming off a Houston qualifying loss to Alex Bolt, holds a perfect 1-0 head-to-head edge over Damm from their 2021 ITF clay meeting (6-4, 6-2), offering upset potential despite the ranking gap. Both left-handers, Damm's 6-8 frame aids his serve on home courts near Bradenton, while Rybakov's experience tempers the mismatch; no reported injuries or withdrawals shape trader consensus toward Damm's power edge in a closely monitored matchup.
