Josh Rock holds a 59% implied probability against veteran James Wade in their New Zealand Darts Masters matchup due to the younger Northern Irishman's stronger recent trajectory. Rock captured his second European Tour title at the 2026 Austrian Darts Open and advanced to the World Matchplay quarterfinals, where he posted competitive averages before falling to Luke Littler. His six PDC ranking titles and proven finishing power give him an edge in the shorter World Series format. Wade, a ten-time TV title winner ranked just ahead, reached the same Matchplay stage via steady wins but has shown vulnerability in high-pressure legs against rising opponents. Head-to-head results favor Rock, including a 6-2 European Tour victory, though Wade's experience and consistency in extended formats keep the contest competitive. No reported injuries affect either player.
