Cardi B and Kehlani’s “Safe” leads the 2026 VMA Best Hip-Hop category with the strongest trader consensus at 72% implied probability, driven by its September 2025 release as a single from Cardi’s album *Am I the Drama?*, accompanying music video, and solid chart traction including a No. 1 Rhythmic Airplay peak. The track’s intimate, relationship-focused vibe and Cardi’s established crossover appeal have sustained momentum since nominations dropped in August. The other five nominees—Don Toliver’s “E85,” Drake’s “Janice STFU,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Lover Girl,” Travis Scott’s “Dumbo,” and Tyler, the Creator’s “Sugar on My Tongue”—trail significantly, reflecting a competitive but less dominant field. Fan voting closes September 25 ahead of the September 27 ceremony, leaving room for late shifts in public sentiment.
