Bayern Munich enters the 2026-27 Bundesliga as defending champions after a dominant 2025-26 campaign that featured record scoring and a large points margin over Borussia Dortmund. With the title widely viewed as their domain again under Vincent Kompany, the runner-up market reflects broad parity among established sides. Pre-season preparations, squad stability at clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and VfB Stuttgart, plus the involvement of promoted teams and mid-table challengers, keep implied probabilities clustered tightly. This distribution captures the league's typical depth and the absence of a clear second-place frontrunner early in the schedule.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
