This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus prices Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop O'Neil Cruz as the frontrunner for NL Comeback Player of the Year at 52% implied probability, reflecting his potential to rebound from an injury-plagued 2025 hampered by concussion protocol in August, ankle discomfort in September, and back tightness, which stifled his raw power-speed profile despite harder contact. Close behind, Chicago Cubs lefty Shota Imanaga (34%) eyes resurgence after a May hamstring strain sapped his velocity and command following a stellar first half; Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara (31%) builds on a strong second-half 3.34 ERA post-Tommy John; and Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott (31%) targets revival from a 4.74 ERA and elbow inflammation. Recent spring developments, including Cruz's physique overhaul, World Baseball Classic impact, and Zack Wheeler's thoracic outlet syndrome recovery milestone with a March minor-league rehab start, underscore the crowded field of high-upside resurgences ahead of Opening Day.
