Top-seeded James Duckworth meets qualifier Tibo Colson in the ATP Challenger Mexico City semifinals on red clay, where high altitude favors aggressive baseline play. Duckworth, ranked No. 86, powered through straight-set wins over Michael Mmoh (6-4, 6-3) and Stefan Kozlov (6-3, 6-2) before rallying past Beibit Zhukayev 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Friday's quarterfinals, dropping just one set prior. Colson has defied odds with gritty upsets, downing No. 4 Nicolas Mejia 7-5, 6-3 in the round of 16 and surviving three-set marathons against Miguel Tobon (1-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Alex Hernandez (7-6(5), 2-6, 7-6(5)). No head-to-head history; trader consensus likely leans Duckworth on ranking edge and fresher legs versus Colson's momentum and resilience.
