The Republican nominee holds a clear edge in Colorado’s 5th congressional district due to the seat’s Republican partisan voting index and the advantages of incumbency. Jeff Crank, first elected in 2024, benefits from the district’s base in El Paso County and Colorado Springs, where he previously secured 54.7 percent. Recent July 2026 polling shows a statistical tie or narrow lead for Crank against Democratic nominee Jessica Killin, who won her June primary, while forecasters rate the race Likely or Solid Republican. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing incorporates these structural factors, the limited number of competitive House seats nationally, and Democratic targeting of the district as a potential pickup opportunity without evidence of a decisive shift in voter sentiment.
