This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 25 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=katl This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting model guidance point to a Friday high in the mid-to-upper 70s for Atlanta, aligning closely with the market's tight clustering around 76–79°F.** A cooler, drier air mass has settled in behind earlier easterly flow, with northeast winds and increasing high pressure promoting mostly sunny skies and limited moisture by September 25. This setup favors moderate daytime heating without the strong southerly advection or abundant sunshine that would push readings into the low 80s. Key variables differentiating the leading bins include the exact degree of clearing, boundary-layer mixing depth, and any residual cloud cover from upstream systems. Light northerly flow keeps maximum temperatures below late-September climatological averages (near 81°F), while the absence of widespread precipitation or strong frontal passage supports the consensus range. Updated NWS point forecasts list 79°F under mostly sunny conditions, with ensemble guidance showing limited spread around 75–80°F. Traders appear to be weighting the official forecast and short-range model consensus most heavily, with the balanced probabilities reflecting the narrow uncertainty band typical for a two-day temperature market this close to resolution. New model runs or afternoon observations on September 24 could refine the exact maximum.
