Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for New York City on September 25 shows overnight lows centered in the mid-50s to low 60s°F under persistent northeasterly flow, cloud cover, and a modest chance of showers that could limit radiational cooling. Trader sentiment remains evenly split between sub-50°F and 68°F+ outcomes because short-range forecast uncertainty is elevated: small shifts in the timing of a weak frontal boundary, wind speed, or boundary-layer moisture can alter minimum temperatures by several degrees. Historical climatology places the September 25 average low near 58°F, yet the current pattern favors slightly below-normal readings without strong signals for either extreme. Updated model runs and official forecast discussions expected over the next 24–48 hours will likely narrow the range of plausible outcomes before resolution.
