Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and meteorological services project a high near 95°F in Atlanta on September 4 under predominantly sunny skies with light easterly winds and only a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance. This places the expected peak firmly in the mid-90s, well above the early-September climatological average of 86°F, driven by ongoing high-pressure dominance and minimal cloud cover following similar hot conditions on September 3. These model consensus outputs and observational trends support the market's heaviest weighting on the 94-95°F and 96-97°F ranges. Resolution hinges on the official maximum at the primary Atlanta reporting station, with final NWS updates expected overnight.
