Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and meteorological models indicate a high near 92°F in Atlanta on September 9 under sunny skies and light easterly flow, placing the most likely outcome in the 90-91°F bin with strong market-implied odds. This exceeds the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 85°F due to a warm air mass and suppressed cloud cover, consistent with recent above-normal readings earlier in the month. Model consensus shows minimal spread, with light winds limiting mixing and supporting peak afternoon temperatures in that narrow range; any late-day convection would arrive after the daily maximum. Updated guidance through the morning has reinforced this trajectory ahead of resolution.
