Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and multiple models project a high near 100–101°F in Austin on September 11, with mostly sunny morning conditions giving way to partly cloudy skies and a low 20% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Southerly winds, high humidity, and a persistent thermal ridge support peak temperatures in this range, producing heat indices above 105°F. These conditions align with the market’s leading 100–101°F outcome at 62.5% implied probability, while the 23.5% on 98–99°F and 13% on 102–103°F reflect minor model spread and the slim possibility of earlier convection or slightly stronger mixing. The day’s outcome sits well above the 1991–2020 average high of 92°F but below the 102°F record from 2000.
