Persistent high-pressure ridging over North Texas has sustained above-average temperatures and mostly clear skies, with official National Weather Service forecasts calling for highs near 100–101°F on September 8 under southerly flow that adds humidity and elevates heat indices above 105°F. Model consensus from recent runs shows limited variability, keeping the probability of reaching 102°F or higher low while the long-term September 8 average of roughly 92°F underscores the anomalous warmth. Dry conditions and minimal cloud cover further support the market’s heavy weighting toward the 100–101°F bin, with any late-day convection unlikely to alter the daily maximum.
